How it works

Drive and Kick 5-Out: Five players space on the perimeter in 5-out formation. Guard attacks a gap with the dribble.

  1. Five players space on the perimeter in 5-out formation.
  2. Guard attacks a gap with the dribble.
  3. Players on the drive side lift; players on the weak-side stay.
  4. Driver kicks to the open player on the perimeter for a shot.

Coaching tips

Key concept: the player one pass away lifts, two passes away stays. This keeps spacing optimal during the drive.
