How it works
Hammer Action: Guard drives baseline forcing the defense to collapse. Corner player on the weak side sprints the baseline.
- Guard drives baseline forcing the defense to collapse.
- Corner player on the weak side sprints the baseline.
- Wing player sets a back-screen (hammer screen) for the corner cutter.
- Guard kicks out to the cutter coming off the hammer screen for a corner three.
Coaching tips
Hammer is triggered when the defense cheats to stop the drive. The corner cutter must sprint to the corner before the guard gets there.
